│ Continuing on from 2015's 'emigre', Killawatt further evolves his
│ experimentation on the fringes of techno and UK bass music with his
│ sophomore LP, 'Loxodromics'. Emerging from an ever-present sense of
│ social and climate anxiety, 'Loxodromics' flicks between the
│ unresolved, organic ambient structures of the opening 'Forest Floor
│ Economics'; bright, sci-fi techno in 'Voodoo Mission'; UK dread-laden,
│ sub-heavy aesthetics of 'Open Your Eyes' and the mutant dancehall form
│ of 'Heavy Elemental'. It is an album of two-halves, split with the AI
│ plea of Greta Thunberg in 'Critical Pulse' and fading out with the
│ unstable tension of 'Total System Nonfeasance'.
