        ::
        :: The legendary Sam & Dave created some of the greatest hits of
        :: the soul era by fusing R&B with the sounds of the Southern
        :: gospel church. During their heyday, Sam & Dave were backed by
        :: some of the finest musicians in the Memphis scene, including
        :: Booker T. Jones (organ), Donald "Duck" Dunn (bass), and Steve
        :: Cropper (guitar). Sam & Dave were nicknamed Double Dynamite
        :: for their explosive, energetic live shows, and Double
        :: Dynamite includes their chartbusting classics "Soul Man" and
        :: "Hold On! IÆm A Comin'".
