│
│ "This very well could be another breakthrough year for that Holy-Goof
│ kid himself James Lavelle and his Mo Wax Recording Company. Lotta'
│ people have been trying to take a bite outta' the man 'cause he likes
│ to do it his way and he's so good at it.' But enduring to the Mo Wax
│ empire (and this year it is striking back!) is great underground music
│ with superb packaging. It was a keen ear that picked up on J. Majik's
│ (of Metalheadz fame) underground 12s on his Innervisions label.
│ J adapts his ultra-futuristic breaks for the headz audience by creating
│ two non-jungle downtempo numbers which explore the shadowy mental
│ realms previously traversed by groups like Skylab and J Saul Kane's Depth
│ Charge. Innervisions is not just Majik's project name for this single,
│ it seems to be a clue to his approach to sound, a deep cranial one at
│ that."

│
│ soup was founded in early 2002, with the intention of releasing
│ the hip-hop, trip-hop, lo-fi and turntablism that has been slept
│ on by other groups. We're a small, friendly group with a real
│ passion for our music, who're fed up of the overly competitive,
│ elitist and aggressive attitude of certain groups. If you are
│ interested in helping our group out, feel free to get in touch.
│
│ soup extend greetings and thanks to everyone at NuHS, and all
│ other groups who care about the music and the scene.
