The Gumshoe StrutÆs æHeartbeat EPÆ is a personal journey of ██░
growth and maturation. A relatable search for rhythm and ██
progress through the topsy turvy landscape of everyday life. ██

In the 10 years since his last solo release, the Winnipeg ██
emcee/producer took a step back to reflect and focus on ██
family and personal development. Now, with a new found ██
inspiration, the longtime Peanuts & Corn Records collaborator ██
has returned with a fiery display of raw emotion set to a ██
wavy, hot-blooded soundscape. ██

The EPÆs lead off track, Love 40, is an upbeat coming of age ██
manifesto that hits the ground running and sets the tone for ██
the rest of the EP. The wordplay and delivery on Plum and No ██
Wonder are skillfully ominous while helping build towards the ██
heartening crescendo on the lead single and title track, ██
Heartbeat. Those familiar with The Gumshoe Strut will ██
appreciate the honesty and openness of the album closer, Mary ██
Wanted Me. ██

The EP is rounded out with a nervy and poignant feature by ██
fellow Saskatoon Folk Rap Records artist, Rob Crooks on the ██
timely call-to-action that is Drip, which also features a ██
silky guitar addition played by Winnipeg musician, Kcvee. ██
