PCP aka Pieter Claeys returns to Bonzai Progressive with the
superb Giving Up. This one follows the Belgian artist's solid
remix on Corcy's 'Magika' which came hot on the heels of his
Summer 2020 cut - Fish & Chips EP, with both garnering great
support across the board. A product of the 90's era, Pieter held
residencies at top clubs and has graced the catalogues of many
quality labels over the years. He holds legendary status at the
famous Balmoral and continues to put in the work at Rewritable
Records & Studios. Great to see him back once again.
The release includes 4 tracks, and we kick off with the Original
Vocal Mix with its distinct 80's niteclub flavour and
captivating vocal, shored-up on a bed of tight beats and plucky
basses. Fresh off the back of an impressive remix of Desire by
Greg S, fellow Belgian Christopher Phonk steps up on remix
duties, delivering a deeper, grooving vibe which is driven by
subtle chords while utilising the vocal beautifully. The HD
Afterhours Remix is and even deeper interpretation, heralding in
a more melodic techno groove with that alluring vocal adding
character. The Radio Mix rounds up the release at just the right
length for maximised air-time.
