Him talking about this release :

I once had the opportunity of meeting Chet Baker.
He was a man of such few words that I have a hard
time recalling what we talked about. Increasingly
turned towards himself, it looked as though Chet
was listening to an inner sound.

As with most great artists, Chet's concern, and
therefore his art, was focused on conveying that
"inner sound" to the outside. Whether playing or
singing (the difference is the same), while giving
a voice to that "sound", Chet reinvented Jazz
standards, involving them with soft spoken
lyricism, suffering and beauty.

This drumless trio, similar in structure to Chet
Baker's latter projects performs some of Chet's
favorite standards along with some original
compositions by Laurent Filipe. Although intimate
in its language, the Trio surprises its audiences
with its rhythmic versatility as well as the
extended level of dynamics and dialogue it can
develop. The music performed is a heartfelt tribute
to the musical spirit of "Jazz Giant" Chet Baker.

Enjoy it and remember ... if u like it buy it !
