Matador hands the RUKUS reins to SHADED, who joins the eminent RUKUS
roster with his new EP ?Below Low?.
With previous releases on SCI+TEC and Turbo Recordings, the past few
years have played a pivotal role in securing success and longevity for
SHADED aka Skyler Taugher, and this venture with RUKUS marks a new
undertaking for the California-born producer. The four-tracker stomper
features two originals, with remixes from Vatos Locos boss Hector, and
rising talent Russell.
?Below Low? delivers a master-class in stripped back, minimal groove;
punctuated by pitched down vocal hooks. Wild synth passes and
intertwining lead lines mingle with the signature electro funk bass
lines SHADED is renowned for.
A progressive acid style, balanced with precise elemental placement,
