From its meandering ambient beginnings to its housy finale, Marbod's
new mini-album showcases the Berlin-based producer's versatility and
unheard knack for texture and depth. »Begin Writing Your Story Here«
is his first release for Verydeeprecords and – while never straying
too far from the dancefloor – also a stylistic expansion from his
former works on his very own Lofile label. Take, for example,
»Aufabwegen«, a track that sonifies the eponymous going astray by
combining percussive clicks and brushes with a subtly pulsating bass
and nature samples. It's followed by »CarlXyii1X« – an airy nod to
Marbod's house roots and only seemingly from a different musical
planet. Marbod smoothly interweaves different styles to a coherent
whole, all the while leaving enough room for the listener to ›begin
writing their own story‹. The central piece of the 6 tracks is
