Lauri and Joel headed to the eastside of Helsinki. Lights were out as
they drove to an abandoned studio they knew. They listened to Joy
DivisionÆs Shadowplay. They shared no words. They knew. That was
exactly what they wanted.
The Orders are a four-piece band from Helsinki, Finland. Their music
combines dark and melancholic guitars, infectious melodies and steady
discobeats. Music you can dance to and cry.
The Orders started year 2003 as Dive. They have released two, now sold
out EPs: ôConfessions of the Nightö and ôUnfortunately Deadö, which
instantly became a cult-item.
Last year they recorded ôStarsö for a Finnish movie Koti-ikΣvΣ. It was
frequently played on the national radio station YleX.
A new self-titled EP includes three new songs: ôWhere It Always
Rainsö, ôApartö, ôDesperation Takes Holdö, and the first official
release for ôStarsö.
The Orders are currently working on their full-length debut album,
which will be released later this year on PIAAF Records.
