a very timely reissue of this hard-to-find 1981 a&m three track
12". chas jankel was an instrumental member of ian dury's
blockheads, so his disco-not-disco pedigree is already highly
warranted. "glad to know you" is the original of the song covered
by kitty grant and used with great effect on the idjut boys'
"press play" cd. the kitty grant version is absolutely impossible
to find, but apart from the singer's gender on the main verses,
the 6'40" original is virtually indistinguishable. on the b-side
"3,000,000 synths" is a cosmic synthesizer wig-out and "ai no
corrida" is a cardiovascular disco classic in its own right.
