This second 12" from Greyboy's upcoming album features Bay Area
vocalist Bart Davenport alongside MCs Enock (on 'Make Music') and
Muddy (on "Let Em Know') plus Greyboy Allstars Robert Walters, Karl
Denson. Despite the heavyweight jam-bander's appearances this ain't
no acid jazz production, far from it.
"Make Music" is a bouncy bass-heavy soulful tune that's mean but
warm, soulful but edgy, and it's as futuristic as we've heard Mr
Greyboy get. On the flip "Let 'Em Know" is an energetic rap tune
driven by funky wah wah guitar, Muddy's slick flow and Greyboy's
turntable skills.
