A1 Rising Tide (Easton Rocks Remix) 4:02
B1 Rising Tide (7stu7 Remix) 3:06
Limited white label of this massive remix of a Mckay classic spliced up with
Dead Prez' "Bigger Than Hip Hop" bassline. "Rising Tide" is culled from the
legendary Bristol recording sessions produced by Geoff Barrow that spawned
Mckay's self-titled debut long player. On the re-rub, production duo Easton
Rocks [7stu7 and Fuzzface] butcher, splice and revive the Dead Prez classic "Hip
Hop" to speaker blowing effect, while the flip has 7stu7 going it alone,
bringing the heaviest drama beats this side of the Bronx River. Simply put, two
dancefloor sureshots.
