Release Notes:

YouÆve been observing this dirty city dweller for a few minutes.
You sit on the edge of the pavement looking at him. His face isnÆt
covered at all yet you still canÆt vividly visualize it. His pants
worn out and slightly ripped from the bottom left leg. He looks
stained but not dirty. He seems displeased with the world but
content about everything around him. HeÆs standing on the corner
across the street. He has a taped-up set of headphones on his
ears. In his left hand, he is holding a notebook. In the spiral of
that notebook, you notice a pen and hint some sort of a romantic
connection between it and its owner. In his right hand, he is
holding a copy of the Holy Quran. The reason youÆve been noticing
him is because he has been noticing you. Groups of people pass
him, but they donÆt notice him. He doesnÆt care to look at them,
either. His eyes donÆt shift away from you at all. HeÆs still
looking at you. Not an intimidating ice-grill. Not a look of
curious interest. Not a look of love, lust, or infatuation.
Noàjust a look. He is looking as if he just discovered that he had
eyes and can use them to perceive things. Blank stare. Not staring
through you but directly at you. One minute. His jeans were dusty
and his shirt was a dark black that couldÆve easily challenged
nighttime and won. Two minutes. The whites in his eyes shone
brightly to contrast with his shirt. Three minutes. You couldnÆt
decide whether you wanted to send him a tulip or a ticking time
bomb. Four minutes. You feel a surreal pull around your eyes. Five
minutes. You realize that he has already leftàhe is GON.

With a wide array of musical influences, Gon maintains a level of
originality some rappers are too scared or hesitant to hold.
Before being introduced to the vast indie scene, he was a fan of
rappers such as Tupac, Black Star, Tragedy Khadafi, Nas, Canibus
and other widely known artists. Quenching his interest in the
underground scene, he found works of art that were close to
flawless such as Aesop RockÆs ôLabor Daysö, Brother AliÆs ôShadows
on the Sunö as well as Cannibal OxÆs ôCold Veinö. Other than Hip
Hop, Gon is an admirer of Jazz, Chill music and Classical music as
well. Combining the music of artists he loves with his own words
he brought you, ôWhere the Truth Liesö. Next, he plans on
releasing a full-length solo LP with production by J Serious,
Ikarus, Cheta, and Sof.
