Sybaris Records, sub-label of Madrid's Deep Explorer brings us a third
loaded reference of dub. Reminiscent funk for lost moments layered with
smooth lines of jazz.
The first cut signs to the brother Javier Alvarez aka Above Smoke,
titled "Desperately In Love". A style of house very similar to the
sounds of south american rhythms. It enters softly, and progresses into
a relaxed and dubbed out atmosphere that coalesces with suggestive
vocals that melt into the gentle melody of trumpets.
The second cut is the duty of Jose Manuel Alvarez aka Dubbyman titled
"Jazz for May". A track that claims the fusion of electronics with
jazz without losing any composure. A work very well structured in
which Jose's piano keys blend with ease amidst the electronic elements
that compose the theme.
