Release Notes:

Earl Bostic's alto sax was one of the most
distinctive sounds in R&B and pop music in the '50s
and he also played tenor, flute and clarinet. In an
era when instrumental hits were a rare occurrence,
Bostic's massive hits with "Flamingo" and "Sleep"
became perennials on the jukeboxes across the USA
while at the same time he kept a distinct jazz
influence alive in popular music. This is an early
history including all his greatest hits and many
super-rare solo and small group recordings.
