     Crackin' was the funk rock band active under a short period during
     the late 70s, led by Lester Abrams, who worked with the likes of
     B.B. King, Stevie Wonder, Quincey Jones and was involved with groups
     L.A. Carnival The Doobie Brothers. Abrams formed Crackin' with bass
     guitarist/producer Rick Chudacoff (The Temptations, Smokey Robinson)
     and vocalist Leslie Smith (Les Smith Soul Band) and released their
     self-titled debut LP in 1975. The group developed a sound which
     became typical for the San Francisco Bay Area, and blended classic
     rock with contemporary funk.
