░  Some albums slap you upside the head with their attack; others beget  ░
░  begrudging acceptance from constant playing. Some, like this one,     ░
░  dreamily raise their heads from the pillow next to you, smile and     ░
░  ask whether you'd like a cup of tea before nuzzling up to your ear    ░
░  and whispering about no hurry to get out of bed today.                ░

░  Take the better-than-Nick Drake singing of Karl Smith of the band     ░
░  Sodastream, add in two former members of the Paradise Motel as well   ░
░  as a couple of other Melbourne musos in Mike Noga (The Drones) and a  ░
░  pair of folk from Ninetynine, get J Walker of Machine Translations    ░
░  to produce the whole lot and what you've got here is a bit of a       ░
░  classic in the making.                                                ░

░  It's plaintive, emotive and at times introspective pop music, played  ░
░  and produced into something that touches on, but is not defined by    ░
░  the genre known as 'alt-country' û or, 'inner city people playing     ░
░  country music'. The finger-plucked folk guitar stylings and string    ░
░  arrangements woven throughout these songs cleverly keep the album     ░
░  from being too easily dropped into any one genre.                     ░

░  Australian music kicks arse. Always has, always will. We're just glad ░
▒  that you're all  on board for the ride.  We here at OZM will continue ░
░  to  shove  Australian  music  right  in your  face proving  that it's ░
