Ellis Island Sound is a duo consisting of
multi-instrumentalists Mr Peter Astor and Mr David
Sheppard. Their music inhabits the hinterland between
instrumental acoustica, '70s Wim Wenders film soundtracks
and pastoral-cum-motorik electronica.
Harmonia, Boards Of Canada, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Ivor
Cutler and Tom Verlaine are all touchstones - again
according to the commentators - though there's a haunting
English quality at the heart of their music; like Nick
Drake recorded by Conny Plank.
This special EP was mixed by Sunroof, Pan American, Susumu
Yokota and Baby Ford.
