Televise is the alias of Simon Scott, who has so far released two
albums, two singles, one movie soundtrack ("How my next door neighbour
discovered life on mars") and 2007`s acclaimed mini albums/EPs
"Strings and wires" and "Sometimes splendid confusion" under this
name. Televise also released a remix 7" single on Club AC30 records in
October of two tracks taken from "Songs to Sing in A&E" by artists
Isan and Ulrich Schnauss.
His current work uses organised sound
samples and combining processed tones, physical manipulation of
digital technology and organic field recordings. These recordings
taken from Simon's Cambridgeshire home combined with untreated melodic
progressions form intricate, evolving audio structures. The third
Televise album "Volume Three" also combines layers of looped textured
noise, reversed acoustics and sequenced guitars with prepared piano
and the inclusion of vocals - processed and natural - and live
instrumentation allow for Televise's music to expand far beyond ...
