Nicetrax 006 sees the label return with another release that features
Danny Ward (Moodymanc) under his 'Dubble D' moniker, fellow label
stalwart Jcub and deep house maestro Tony Lionni for an EP of deep and
jazzy House music.
The release kicks off with 'Evans Above' on the 'A' side: A lush mid
tempo groove of organic drums and percussion builds and starts to
drive with a live double bass to a crescendo which sees a breakdown of
big and dramatic uplifting strings. The groove settles and builds
further to a sparse but heartfelt double bass solo which plucks on the
heart strings as much as those of the instrument before revisiting the
string theme. Think sunsets, beaches and warmth!
The Evans Above 'Club Dub' opens the flip side and takes the tempo and
energy up to later night territory whilst retaining the organic, warm
and uplifting elements!
Next up is a re-visit to JCub's 'Mestizo' which featured on the
Nicetrax 005 "Soulfuric Acid EP" for which Mule and Ostgut Ton artist
