Colombia is going through one of the harshest economical and political
crises in the last 30 years. COVID, state violence and increasing
poverty have unleashed social protests with millions of citizens
disapproving of President Duque's tax reform. Although held back,
protests continued and Colombia's deep wounds have yet again
resurfaced as inequality, racism and violence have been shown to be
the system's true colors. The government's response to the social
movement has been that of extreme brutality; massacres, rapings and
human rights violations have been daily bread. Colombia and all the
people who've been fighting for their rights need our help.
