Hip swinger alert! - SLT010 is a debut EP on ØSCILLATE Records from
newcomer, RareBiT. Talk About EP is a four track package of grooving
house, just in time for spring, those hazy daytime sets, bustling
dancefloors and sun-kissed afterhours sessions.
Cut a Rug's laidback approach, warm chords and drifting melodies are
accompanied with harmonious undertones and inviting vocals. The
snares, deep groove and ongoing percussion give the track a real sense
of haziness and heat. We can see this one working on terraces and in
those important warm up sets.
Slightly darker, but in keeping with the laidback atmosphere, Open Up,
is deep, groovy and spattered with mischievous vocal samples that come
to a head in the track's main breakdown. Subtle drums, an overlaying
cowbell, and melodic chord progressions bring the track together and
deliver another effective production that would be suited to the
beginning of the night, or beginning of the next day.
