Moth is Jon Dale, Rhizome boss, lWire-contributor and artist
in his own right.
KGP (the title also the title of a work from the early 90's by
true veteran of the Italian electronic/ambient scene Rafaelle
Serra!?) is a reissue of an earlier release not many people
have: the long OOP original edition of 20 (Rhizome RHCD005,
complete with a handful of sheets of photographs not contained
with this reissue).
... A HUGE haze of dronage - I can't distinguish what's in
there, it's like the engulfing sound of a magnificent pipe
organ in a vast, empty cathedral. - Boa melody bar
A 16 minute drone on harmonium. Very much the best Moth thing
'out there', and possibly, the last. "['Kodak Ghost Poem'] is
clearly a densely layered work, though each harmonium tone is
so unpronounced, and movement so linear that dual
interpretations emerge. This is both one thing and everything
at once" - Mark Groves, Ujaku
