         Having already established a much-loved mix series and "music         
      platform", the Mantissa crew has decided to start a label, with this     
     debut release coming from an "unnamed and elusive artist close to the     
     crew". We have no idea who said artist is, but we can confirm that the    
     music is well worth checking out. Opener 'Space Cadet' is superb, with    
          delicious deep space chords, squelchy acid sounds and bubbly         
     electronic lead lines providing a platform for the mystery producer's     
       percussion-rich house-not-house beats and deep, warming sub-bass.       
     There's a similar deep house-meets-UK-bass feel to 'Frozen Bounce' and    
     the deeper, warmer 'U01A', whose sub-bass motif and bleeping melodies     
         are particularly alluring. Ciel steps up to remix the latter,         
     delivering a pitched-up slab of sci-fi brilliance that sits somewhere     
      between dub house, ghetto-tech and saucer-eyed ambient techno. Ace!
