Sensei II is a powerful, sunshine-filled EP with five emotive tracks,
covering everything from the empowerment of women, to love, sexuality
and desire, high vibrations, and partying and beyond. Collaborating
with a host of incredible artists including Aymos, Toya Delazy,
Taliwhoah and Mista Silva, Sonically, the project spans afrobeats, UK
Funky, gqom, R'n'B and beyond. Her sound firmly rooted in the African
diaspora, KG wanted the essence of 'back home' to be felt throughout
the whole project.
The follow up to Sensei EP (2018, Goon Club All-Stars) and Touch EP
(her Hyperdub collab with Scratcha DVA - Sensei II) sees KG at a point
where she has mastered her sound, hence the title Sensei, meaning
Artistic Mastery. A clear step up sonically and aesthetically, Sensei
II is the beginning of a new chapter altogether for KG - an
unstoppable artist who continues to stand out from the crowd with her
