boozoo bajou have been to many places and experienced many things.
on their countless trips to south america they were busy collecting
musical impressions (for example tons of original jamaican 7"es)
and brought these gems back to their homebase to extract the
flavour.
with their unbelievable first 12" ænight over manausÆ those two
musical ethnologists (this is how they like to define themselves)
give proof of their cultural openmindedness and melt their various
influences to a great unique style of their very own. they did a
remix for toscaÆs æchocolate elvis, which was released via g-stone
together with works of bullitnuts, rockers hi-fi and uptight.
their second single æunder my sensiÆ was available in two steps:
the first 12ö contained a remix of les demon flowers (uptight,
vienna) and reached the second place (!) of the dcc (the official
german club charts) - for the second 12" thievery corporation and
trio elΘtrico worked on the track.
in the meantime, boozoo bajou seem to be one of the most talented
and wanted producers in nudubreggae-meets-mambo-bossa (as michael
reinboth of compost records define their style).
rainer trⁿby thinks the same and asked them for a remix of his
track 'a go go' ... the current 12" release of boozoo bajou is
called 'divers' and is part of the lead with the bass 12"
(available on stereo deluxe).
