     Recorded in late 1995, this three-song release nicely
     showcases Autechre's talent for mixing quiet hooks with
     aggressive, experimental production. "Milk DX" starts
     with the shuffling, stuttering mechanical rhythms for
     which the duo became ever more known, with off-kilter
     and unexpected sound stabs leaping in and around the
     gentle melody and a curious, unintelligible vocal line
     which fades after a few minutes. "Inhake 2" lays down
     an even more frazzled rhythm, partially composed of
     half-seconds of static and hiss as well as
     electro-robot vocals, as a bed for another simple, soft
     keyboard part. "Drone" has a punchy drum start, but
     four minutes in, it begins to match its title with a
     series of distorted, heavily produced drones and
     sounds, while constantly changing loop frequencies come
     to the fore. Peel Sessions is not their best release,
     but it is still quite noteworthy.
