Written and produced by Gwill Morris
Additional Remix and production by Mainline (James Holden, Hywel
Dunn Davies and Duncan Ellis).
A fresh new groover from Gwill Morris, the man behind the "Main
Element" monkier and a familiar sound to fans of the Silver Planet
record label. The original is true to Main Element style, with
heavily processed synth sounds and a rolling bassline.
Mainline, who make up the formidable team of Holden, Ellis, and
Davies (Souldriver) give it a funky angry distorted twist. This
trio hasn't done much production work since their release on Bedrock
about a year ago, its good to see that they still pack a punch.
Midset is not a label I am familiar with, and seeing as this is
only their second release, they are fresh to the progressive scene.
If they can keep quality releases like this one coming, though,
they will be a contender down the road.
