Following up some great releases by the likes of Upright, Savvas and
Miguel Reis, Portugal's Edward Bei aka Deebop debuts on local imprint
Piston Recordings with the superb Promised Land EP. The title track is
a darkly spiritual and hypnotic journey in late night mood music which
will appeal to fans of Fred P or Earthen Sea. This is followed by the
dubby and utterly soulful vocal deep house of "Friday Night" calling
to mind classic Main Street Records and ending with some dusty and
blunted Sunday afternoon deepness on "Nu Samba" with its respectful
nod to Detroit masters like Moodymann and Andres.

enjoy & remember to support artists.
