Banging TechTrance Previously unreleased mixes from 2 of Marcel Woods tunes
from last year who blew up dancefloors world-wide! At first only meant for
Marcels own dj sets, but due popular demand we couldnt hold it back no
longer.The Bits & Crushed mix from Advanced was one of the first mixes from
this single which Marcel created, but till this day he was the only one who
had the joy of playing it. Same story as for the TE 2006 Mix, but this was
created specially for the 2006 edition of the Trance Energy event, where
Marcel Woods was one of the headliners!
OK so not really any need for another remix of this classic tune, but when
its this good who cares! Marcel applies some filthy electro pressure to
Advanced on the Bits & Crushed Remix with chugging techy beats rolling
along under a big dirty fucker of a growling bassline which takes centre
stage for the most part. Its a great, winding melody that feels rather
sordid. A mas sive swirl of synths rises during the breakdown before THAT
riff drops in. It works, yet again! Phwoar. The Trance Energy 2006 remix of
Cherry Blossom plods along with its old skool sounding funky bassline before
those hazy, crisp synths drop in to create a very hypnotic first section.
After the first drop the muffled bassline and the synths evolve into a
gorgeous summery melody. Th e main breakdown is absolutely massive soaring
strings at first before a trademark filthy-yet-euphoric cascade of almost
acid le ad synths arrive for the main section. Some great rhythms are made
out of the rasping synths too for yet another different section.
A ten-and-a-half minute journey through the moodier, darker side of trance
music. Think Push at his best.
