▄▓ ▄ ▀▀ ▄█▀
█▓
██ It all began in 2000 when Henrik bought a one way
██ ticket from Copenhagen to London, determined to
██ find a band with whom he would make a fortune as a
██ drummer! But suddenly his own songs came knocking
██ and he started to write & record songs sitting in
██ the only furniture in his room in the flat û an
██ old blue velvet sofa. And Lost Alma was bornà
██ Years past and back in Denmark again he started to
██ do a lot of 4 track DYI recordings in his sleeping
██ room. Eventually one of these led to financial
██ support (from a federal danish artist union) to
██ recording of an album. Shortly hereafter Henrik &
██ some kind friends started to record what became
██ Lost Almas debut - ôYou CanÆt Stop the Silenceö.
██ Basically Lost Alma is the sound of (danish)
██ singer-songwriter Henrik Stahlhuts musical outlet.
██ The sound is often melancholic & made by a simpel
██ orchestration, that in a beautyful and fragile way
██ brings out the spirit of the personal and intimate
██ songs. Songs that aim more for your heart than
██ your feet! ItÆs alternative songwriting about (the
██ many & strange ways of) love, fights with demons,
██ loss and fear. But also about hope & faith in the
██ future. The musical inspiration is - among others,
██ found in the sounds of Neil Young, Nick Cave,
██ Sophia, Bonnie Prince Billy, Bob Dylan,
██ Sparklehorse & Æ60 pop.
██
██ Recording of the debut album Recordings & mix took
██ place in retro studio Black Tornado & Delta Lab.
██ Producer on the album is Henrik Stahlhut & Per
██ Buhl Acs, known from his work with alternative
██ danish darlings as Port Friendly, Superheroes,
██ Rhonda Harris, Thau and Trains & Boats & Planes.
██ As well as various other bands on the Crunchy Frog
██ label (The Raveonettes, Junior Senior, Power
██ Solo). Alive and kicking Since Lost Almas live
██ debut in September 2005 and ætill now (May 2006)
██ it has come to more than 20 shows. Mostly around
██ Denmark but also in Italy and Germany where an
██ acoustic duo tour was completed. And now with the
██ album out hopefully we will see Lost Alma play
██ even more showsà Enjoy the CD & please take a few
██ listen before you decide if you love or hate L.A.!
██ Love.
