           ░        Whoever calls his band "Seven Steps To The       ░
           ░        Green Door" probably doesn't expect the          ░
           ░        big national or even international               ░
           ░        success... Nevertheless, the septet around       ░
           ░        Toxic Smile keyboardist Marek Arnold might       ░
           ░        even have chances for airtime and a              ░
           ░        certain success, at least in the rock-           ░
           ░        savvy listener environment, if only              ░
           ░        someone would ever get to hear this              ░
           ░        album...                                         ░
           ░                                                         ░
           ░        The project from East Germany unites             ░
           ░        musicians with different backgrounds and         ░
           ░        so the music also offers a "Querbeet" of         ░
           ░        interesting rock with a dash of (soft)           ░
           ░        jazz. Easy and casual "Seven Steps To The        ░
           ░        Green Door" play their way through melodic       ░
           ░        rock (where very rarely the tempo is             ░
           ░        increased), airy pop melodies and soft           ░
           ░        piano and saxophone runs.                        ░
           ░                                                         ░
           ░        But especially an almost AOR-like title          ░
           ░        like "Enslaved" or the sweet ballad "Tell        ░
           ░        Me" could be songs with hit potential. But       ░
           ░        they also show that they can do it in a          ░
           ░        completely different way with twisted            ░
           ░        rockers like "Days Run Away" or "At The          ░
           ░        End Of December" and the progged                 ░
           ░        instrumental "The Puzzle".                       ░
           ░                                                         ░
           ░        The music is mixed up by all kinds of            ░
           ░        electronic gimmicks, which at first don't        ░
           ░        really catch the ear, but become clear           ░
           ░        under the headphones, and the occasionally       ░
           ░        used rap vocals.                                 ░
