:: that Niklas Kvarforth and the band itself earned when he ::
:: formed Shining back in 1996 while only 13 years old. So, ::
:: this band doesnÆt need a huge presentation as history ::
:: speaks for itself. Without more delays, Shining have just ::
:: release the brand new ôIX û Everyone, Everything, ::
:: Everywhere, Endsö, via Season Of Mist, and I can assure you ::
:: that this album will be love or hate at first sight. ::

:: This new record is not a, letÆs say, normal one concerning ::
:: what Shining have delivered over the years and to prove it ::
:: thereÆs the opening track that works like an intro in which ::
:: an epic and heavy metal sound unexpectedly emerges as well ::
:: as brief moments related to prog and jazz stuff. After this ::
:: beginning, ôVilja & dr÷mö strikes with a more familiar ::
:: soundscape in which we can hear KvarforthÆs already famous ::
:: æuuah!Æ opening way for fast and sometimes dissonant ::
:: passages. Even if weÆre facing a development phase ::
:: regarding the bandÆs sound û and this is already known for ::
:: those who have listened to the most recent albums û, this ::
:: second track is able to recall the ôV û Halmstadö era. ::

:: Shining have included some unusual instruments concerning ::
:: the metal genre itself, like Ihsahn has also done, but this ::
:: time theyÆve done it in a more traditional way with the ::
:: inclusion of acoustic guitars transforming the album into ::
:: something more melancholic and sad û if with electric ::
:: guitars itÆs possible, with acoustic ones itÆs even more. ::
:: That implementation also transforms the album into ::
:: something friendlier and Niklas appears to sing through a ::
:: clean and melodious method û a thing in what we can witness ::
:: an enormous evolution. Niklas is singing better than ever ::
:: before and even the whispers are deeper and sentimental, as ::
:: we can listen to in ôFramtidsutsikterö. However, the ::
:: calmness and smoothness that can be felt in some moments is ::
:: converted into fury delivered by disturbing riffs. ::

:: ôInga broar kvar att brΣnnaö follows the new line in which ::
:: the acoustic guitar alternates with the electric one in a ::
:: procession of anguish and despair featured by Niklas till ::
:: something like a cithara appears and, supported by the rest ::
:: of the instruments in the background, itÆs created a pop- ::
:: rock atmosphere that, of course, doesnÆt long too much. We ::
:: may be used to hear growls and screams supported by a ::
:: strong wall of sound, but this time that pattern is tore to ::
:: the ground as we have Niklas spitting his consternation ::
:: during a smooth and melancholic musical passage. ::

:: In spite of all the description that is done above, the ::
:: more purist fans donÆt need to be afraid because ShiningÆs ::
:: essence didnÆt go away as the fast, aggressive and even ::
:: confusing, yet always with the right balance, parts are ::
:: finely included. ::
