"It's been said that Fader only cares about emerging youngbloods and established
stars at a turning point-that we don't give shine to bands that are grinding out
their fourth or fifth solid album. The criticism (it was meant as a criticism)
is sort of/sometimes accurate-the most interesting moments in music usually
aren't made of established artists still doing their established thing. Here,
however, is an interesting moment: Anatomy, a producer with Minneapolis's
long-suffering underground hip-hop gorup Oddjobs, launched into a side project
so inspired that it ate the original group-Oddjobs (minus one member) in now
Kill The Vultures. KTV is a band hell bent on using beats and rhymes to sound
like bent hell, flipping abrasive and dissonant punk and bop samples instead of
the typical boom bap. It's difficult listening, but which would you rather have:
