█░█ Where other revivalists crunch, wail, and leap █░█
█░█ head-first down the listener's throat, Chicago's █░█
█░█ the Changes cushion every corner of "When I Wake" █░█
█░█ with layers of quirky keys and winsome croons. █░█
█░█ The Police have to be mentioned upfront-- █░█
█░█ Changes' singer nabs Sting's phrasing for the █░█
█░█ chorus and the band follows suit. But for every █░█
█░█ shimmering guitar chord, there are three guilty █░█
█░█ squirts of keyboards right behind it. Still, the █░█
█░█ track is anything but cloying. Even the urgent █░█
█░█ phase-laden guitar solo sounds polite, but only █░█
█░█ because the band doesn't crowd the melody. A bit █░█
█░█ meek and a bit geeky, but so are all my favorite █░█
█░█ 80s songs. █░█
