Release Notes:
Fans of Bobby Sutliff, Richard Thompson, Bruce
Cockburn, Freedy Johnston and Toad The Wet Sprocket
are going to dig the unique, eclectic sounds of Jeff
Lewis` "Ponder The Drama" and its restless spirit.
There are so many different styles and sounds
explored here, but threading, holding it together
are Lewis` vocals(which remind me of late 70`s
acoustic-pop genius Jon Pousette-Dart, Eric Johnson
and a bit of Sir Bobby Sutliff himself) and
interesting production flourishes in unexpectant
spots. Lewis` guitar tones strongly bring to mind
the aforementioned Richard Thomspon and Eric Johnson
and "Ponder The Drama" provides a charming, gilt-
framed and comfortably faded majesty. Lewis` music a
wonderful antidote to the power punk boy band drivel
being fed into your musical diet and if you are
looking for something different, but not *that*
different the refreshing charms of "Ponder The
Drama" will reward in a kingly manner. Very Highly
Recommended!
