over the past three years alex cortex released three 12"es for
source records defining his concept of club music.
his debut 12" tubed was one of 96┤s underground hits. dry funky
minimal techno. monster sounds.
his second release aitai expanded his definition of minimal
techno.
on release number three, tengenenge, cortex turned to kickin┤
electro beats. rough and driving.
influences from detroit were obvious throughout his releases for
source records, kanzleramt and 800 trak
but alex cortex established his own style right from the start.
now alex cortex unfolds a new chapter. on his album debut he takes
us on a ride away from the dancefloor
into the living room and formulates a musical statement beyond
genre boundaries. laconic.
