the mysterious record title puts it in a nutshell : kirk de
georgio takes off for a trip through electronic music, taking the
best of 60's and 70's jazz - debut of the moogs' era-, deep
detroit techno and experimental electronic music. he manages to
link past and future, joining the dots like very few artists
before him (dj shadow may be the only one to stand the comparison)
through a sublime, luminous, inventive and stimulating music. the
peaks of the magic "triumphant", the hypnotic "the message in
herbie's shirts" or the percussive "the electric hymn" are still
to be reached. one could only regret that clear, which released
this record, doesn't exist any longer. note : the tracks featured
on the cd have been dispatched on two vynil eps, in with their
arps and moogs and jazz and thing and the message in herbie's
shirts.
