amazing! that's the only word to describe this album to the
fullest. if you were to take the spirit of strata east records,
the high quality arrangements of early ecm and mix it with a
well-structured theme, you would have this wonderful album that
sits easy and galvanises the mind with instant inspiration. even
though this album might have dropped more than five years ago, it
still sounds fresh without a trace of musical expiration.
the man behind this promising musical affair is none other than
chris bowden whose projects have always kept the ear forward. some
might recognise bowden's magic from works with 4 hero or under his
former 'square window' moniker for which he recorded on melt 2000.
the amazing thing about this album is the incredible arranging in
the string and piano sections which poses many challenges to most
modern day producers. music like this doesn't come often enough.
chris' latest work will appear on ninja tune and there is already
a taster of what is to come in the form of 'beautiful nasty'
coupled with a 4 hero remix.
