Stephanie Mills made the move to MCA Records and kept
right on rolling. Her self-titled "Stephanie Mills,"
included the solid numbers "Stand Back," "Time Of Your
Life," "Rising Desire," "I Have Learned To Respect The
Power Of Love" and had a fine blend of uptempo/dance
songs, soaring ballads, and light urban contemporary
tunes. It was the first album matching Mills with producer
Nick Martinelli, and their collaboration would be a
fruitful one.
