So far, Paul A. George has been well-known as the frontman
of Tijuana Cartel. To be more precise, he's been well-known
for skilfully using elements of world music from the Middle
East, India and Spain to tickle those spiritual glands of
our brains. Also for his talent to slap the dancefloor with
bass-heavy beats and to vividly remind those feet why they
are mingling there. This approach is taken to the next level
with his solo production Double Harmonic: An ever building
crescendo of vigorous beats and synthesised melodies is
topped up with an ethereal vocal. Then, Dandara dims the
lights and envelopes us in his rolling groove, sending us to
psychedelic depths where elements of the original develop a
fascinating life of their own.
