this offering is part of a series of compilations exploring a wide
variety of ambient dub sounds flavored by spacey atmospherics and
assorted ethnic influences. what works so well about this comp is
the endless blend of elements which spice the various tracks, such
as droning sitars, fast jungle beats, psychedelic electronics, and
echoing vocals, male and female. even better, the music is good,
unlike so much of the dance scene where fast tempo beats or cool
sound effects seem to be the soup du jour. pieces by immersion,
core, subsurfing, and many others you may have never heard before
contribute to an album which will appeal to dub lovers as well as
those less than inspired by the genre. well done.
