release notes
............,
Following swiftly on the heels of MRR 003 come Lindsay-J & Sneak
Thief with "Open the Door". The Canadian husband and wife team, now
based in Berlin, deliver the sound of summer with a stunning little
funked-up ode to love (or problematic property access?) It's also one
of the first tracks in a while to feature an electric flute. For the
remixes Sneak Thief teams up with his fellow Polygamist DJ Gitano and
the Boys apply their renowned nu disco skills. Glasgow's Truffle Club
gets glitch 'n' bass (think "Ravers Suck our Sound" meets Beyonce and
you're on the right track), Finnish electro experts Imatran Voima
wheel out the dirty big guns and Manchester new boy English Electric
makes his debut by teching it up with washing synths, a spitting
bassline and a shuffling rhythm reminiscent of late 80's Weatherall
productions.

........................,
MAEM is dedicated to the promotion of interesting electronic music, old
and new. Unlike most groups, we will not target individual sub-genres
within the electronic field. Quite simply, if we like the sound, we will
release it. This includes (but is by no means limited to) : techno, idm,
italo disco, electro, acid, ambient, downtempo, and house.
MAEM has years of ripping experience, and we will ensure we meet or
exceed the quality which is expected within the scene.
Finally, MAEM genuinely cares about the music we release. It may seem
somewhat cliche, but we buy ALL of the records we release, and if you
enjoy this mp3 sample, then do the right thing and buy a copy for
yourself. Good artists and record labels deserve your support!
Greetings to BEX, BOSS, BCC, CMC, DH, Disc0, DPS, EMP, FWYH, I8, JUST,
KW, PSYCZ, SOUP, SOUR, TR, UKI, and all MAEM affiliate sites. Thank you!
