hardfloor rank among the most internationally successful german
dance acts, whose very first release "accpierence" enabled them to
celebrate worldwide success. english dance magazine muzik dubbed
"accpierence" the best acid record ever released to date. hardfloor
subsequently disseminated their idiosyncratic style with various
remixes ranging from the likes of new order, anne clark and mory
kante to richie hawtin. in 1995 the hardfloor-crew released the
first of their hip hop -influenced eps on harthouse. the first two
eps on harthouse appeared under the name hardfloor present da damn
phreak noize phunk, where they were one of the first ever dance acts
to combine downtempo beats with the use of a roland 303, thereby
designing a blueprint for later productions in the big beat field.
up until then even a certain norman cook, aka fatboy slim, had no
idea of the hidden powers behind this mother of all syntheses, and
began only later to copy and churn out the sound worldwide.
