earth project is a new label set to bring you global sounds tuned
to cross musical genres. london, new york, san francisco and tokyo
are the labels focal points but they will endeavor to encompass all
countries in-between. earth projects first release is by everyday
people, which is a collaboration between loretta heywood and bugz
in the attic main man orin walters along with kaidi tatham and
danny huckridge. you may be familiar with loretta's husky, sexy
vocals from her work with david arnold, tim simenon and major
force. orin's production talents go under many guises including
afronaught and neon phusion.
"i can't sleep" is 21st century blues with an attitude that can
only come from the melting pot that is loosely called dance music.
the main mix is a deep and funky affair with a textured production
sooth your ears, the vocals layered with harmonies just ooze
quality.
glasgow gangster funk have upped the tempo with their take on "i
can't sleep", this respectful rework has seen a lot of action on
the dancefloor of many a discerning house club
the afronaught b side mixes are busy with the funk, the beats have
been tuffened up but the essence of the song have been maintained
