fresh for 2001 comes the release of this soulful three track ep
from jarrard anthony. this talented 19 year-old singer /
songwriter has been compared to such respected artists as stevie
wonder, d'angelo and maxwell.
jarrard anthony is a native of richmond, virginia. he began
writing songs and and singing at age ten and became serious with
his music around thirteen. like many talented youngsters, jarrard
hooked up with some friends who were also passionate about music
and they formed a group. the group made numerous public
appearances, winning several talent contests including amateur
night at the legendary apollo. eventually, the group disbanded and
jarrard decided he would continue to pursue his dream alone. now
the dream is reality.
in addition to his solo projects, jarrard has put together a live
band to accompany him on tours and currently writes for several
large acts. he has also worked with levi little (lead vocalist on
blackstreet's 'joy') and has performed with the likes of the
o'jays.
