     One of the best-selling female performers of all time, Mariah Carey
     rose to superstardom on the strength of her stunning five-octave
     voice. An elastic talent who has easily moved from glossy ballads to
     hip-hop-inspired dance-pop throughout her career, she earned early
     comparisons to Whitney Houston and CΘline Dion, and did them both
     one better by co-writing almost all of her own material from the
     start. All five singles off her multi-platinum debut album, Mariah
     Carey (1990), topped the Billboard Hot 100, beginning with "Vision
     Of Love", which also led to Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and
     Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female.

     "There's Got To Be A Way" was the fifth and final single released
     from Carey's self-titled debut album. It was one of four songs Carey
     wrote with Ric Wake during their first recording session together in
     February 1990, but "There's Got To Be A Way" was the only
     composition to make the final track listing. Produced by Ric Wake
     and Narada Michael Walden.
