Y2K is shaping up to be MJ Cole's year. The 27 year old West
Londoner has recently seen his first 2 singles, 'Crazy Love' and
'Sincere' debut in the Top 15 of the UK Charts and his debut album
'Sincere' is already being hailed as a landmark in British garage
after being nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Award.
At the time when UK garage's unmistakable two step groove is
puncturing the national charts with increasing regularity whilst
remaining the soundtrack of Britain's urban (and suburban)
underground, Matt Coleman coolly continues his role as innovator
and individualist. Occupying an enviable and somewhat intriguing
position within dance music, Matt straddles the divide between
technical expertise and live musicianship; between established
underground statesman and mainstream contender. Through this MJ
Cole is emerging as the UK garage scene's first real artist,
revealing consistency, longevity and quality to be found in this
uniquely British sound.
This is "Sincere", the second single taken from the album with the
same name. It includes two amazing remixes done by UK Garage god
Wookie and the unique and talented german collective Jazzanova.
