         - NOTES

Predicted X-Factor winner, Maria Lawson famously left the
show early when Louis Walsh opted to keep the Irish Conway
Sisters over her. This caused a national outcry, but
London born Maria was the real winner with no less than
four major labels offering her deals.

X-Factor was certainly not Maria's first experience in the
Music Business. At 18 she was offered a record deal with
XL records, she has performed backing vocals for many
artists including Gabrielle and Lemar, and signed a
publishing deal at 23 which saw her writing songs for many
         European acts.

Maria Lawson now releases her eponymous debut album, which
belongs in the same canon as elite female artistes like
Tina Turner, Cher, Whitney and Gabrielle, who are strong,
uncompromising and honest and have transcended the need
for a pneumatic body and lip-glossed sex mouth. This album
is not what you'd expect to hear from your atypical
         X-Factor contestant.

         Another Quality Release from OSC!!
