▓█ ▓ Dominic Gentry is no stranger to the music ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ industry. At the age of 15 he was already drumming ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ for the band Hirameka Hi-Fi. Their underground ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ sound encompassed the spirits of Nirvana, Sonic ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Youth and Slint. They gained major support from ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ the likes of John Peel and Steve Lamaq and ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ produced Radio 1 evening sessions for them both. ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ It didnt take long before they were snapped up by ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Gringo Records and were soon touring Britain ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ supporting the legendary Mogwai and Ariel M. After ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ a busy few years in the band Dom left as he was ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ becoming more inspired by the likes of the ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Chemical Brothers, Unkle and Daft Punk. He was ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ also becoming more influenced by the music he was ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ hearing at free partys around Essex and on a year ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ trip in 2001 to Australia he started to fall for ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ the breakbeat scene. After a year back in England ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Dom packed his bags and moved away from small town ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Essex to study Sound Engineering and production at ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Red Tape Studios in Sheffield. With every week ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ spent in the studio and weekends spent at the club ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ night Urban Gorilla, his sound started to take ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ shape. The result is a sound, which fuses together ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Breaks, rock, electro and anything that may lay ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ inbetween. 2006 sets to be a busy year for 10 ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Rapid. Singles lined up for this year include " ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Hear This Sound" (Carepack Records), " Dark Days" ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ (Distroy) and "Daylight" ( Burrito). ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ With only a few releases under his belt 10 Rapid ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ has still picked up support from the likes of Adam ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Freeland, Koma and Bones, Friendly, The Rouge ▓ █▓
▓█ ▓ Element, Stone Lions and Eddy Temple-Morris. ▓ █▓
